Japan’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Ito Naoki expects the upcoming parliamentary elections to be fair and impartial and the main political parties will participate.
The Ambassador of Japan expressed this expectation at a “Meet the Ambassador” event jointly organized by the non-governmental organization Center for Governance Studies (CGS) and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Bangladesh (FES, Bangladesh) at a hotel in Dhaka on Monday.
Ito Naoki, the chief guest of the event, said, “The Japanese Embassy also expressed concern during the 2018 election. I represent the view of the Japanese government. So, I expect a free and fair election. Election commission and government are working for fair elections.
