The Centre for Governance Studies, Dhaka organized a half-day seminar on “Human Rights and Governance in Asia” on 14 November, 2015 at Asia Pacific Hotel, Dhaka. This Seminar was participated by 20 plus people comprising media personalities, scholars, policy analysts, human rights activists, diplomats and lawyers. The main objective of this seminar has been to realize through group discussions, and media ‘write-ups’ the need for establishing rule of law, a human rights watchdog with judicial power and due jurisdiction on the state parties. The Center for Governance Studies organized the event where scholars, policy-influencers and media-persons of Bangladesh participate, and are fully aware of current situation of human rights through relevant information, exhibition of pictures and videos.
