Conclusion

Data, information, experiences, and opinions gathered throughout the project over a period of two years from all walks of the SME sector pointed to the need for an unequivocal commitment and public pronouncement of the stakeholders and their unwavering stand against pernicious and debilitating corruption. It was underscored at every level of the SME entrepreneurs that developing a national network of SMEs, particularly to address various aspects of corruption, is necessary to highlight the situation and act collaboratively. There was a clear consensus that the widespread presence of corruption can only be conϐirmed with comprehensive efforts of both the private sector and the government. Drawing on these messages, the CGS arranged the national meeting of stakeholders in Dhaka on March 21, where the participants will adopt the following declaration.
